The Rustler's Moon Project emerged from the award-winning pilot script, Rustler's Moon: Pick a Side, written by filmmaker Elizabeth Schrum. In collaboration with renowned Western author Jim Jones, Elizabeth adapted the screenplay from his impactful first novel in the Jared Delaney series, Rustler's Moon. This adaptation captures the grit, heart, and high-stakes storytelling that defines a compelling Western film series.
Set against the unforgiving backdrop of New Mexico's frontier, this independent film explores the choices that shape a person's destiny—choices that challenge family bonds, loyalty, and the legacy we leave behind. Every decision matters, and every mark lasts.
